The Aljama Dance School returns to Bétera with groups for all ages

The activity will begin on September 18th at the Penya Building with children's, youth and adult groups to keep traditional dances alive.

Tradition and popular culture are back in Bétera with the start of a new course at the Aljama Dance School . The activity, organized by the Aljama de Bétera in collaboration with the City Council, will return this September with the aim of bringing traditional dances closer to people of all ages.

The first meeting is scheduled for Friday, September 18, at 6:30 p.m. , at the Penya de Bétera Building. The school will have different groups adapted to the ages of the participants: children, youth and adults.

The initiative thus allows both those who already know traditional dances and those who want to discover them for the first time to have the opportunity to learn, dance and share one of the most characteristic expressions of Valencian popular culture.

Traditional dances for children, young people and adults

The Aljama Dance School opens its doors to participants of different generations. The creation of children's, youth and adult groups allows learning to be adapted and, at the same time, promotes the intergenerational transmission of traditions.

Precisely this continuity between generations is fundamental to preserving a cultural heritage that is part of the identity of Bétera . Traditional dances and music have a particularly prominent presence in the municipality's festive calendar and constitute one of the most deeply rooted cultural manifestations among the Bétera residents.

The school therefore offers a space to learn dances, enjoy music and delve deeper into traditional Valencian culture in a participatory environment.

The new edition is promoted by the Aljama with the collaboration of the Bétera City Council. The activity continues the work carried out by the association to preserve, teach and disseminate traditional dances.

Their presence at some of the most representative moments of Bétera 's cultural and festive calendar contributes to keeping this heritage alive. Now, with the arrival of the new academic year, this task also returns to the classrooms of the Dance School.

The objective is not only to learn the steps and different pieces, but also to know and share the traditions that surround them, thus strengthening the link between the new generations and the popular culture of the municipality.

The new course will begin on September 18th.

Interested people can now prepare for the return of the activity . The event will be held on Friday, September 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the Penya Building, with activities aimed at children, youth and adults.

With this new course, Bétera recovers after the summer a space dedicated to an essential part of its cultural heritage: music, dance and traditional dances . An opportunity to learn, share and contribute to keeping alive traditions that continue to be passed down from generation to generation.
