More than 1.63 million foreign tourists visited the territory during the month of July, 9.5% more than last year
The Valencian Community has registered a new record for international tourism during the month of July 2026 , both in terms of the number of foreign visitors and the expenditure generated. In total, 1,634,084 international tourists arrived in the Valencian territory during the seventh month of the year and generated an expenditure of 2,475 million euros.
The figures represent significant growth compared to the same period in 2025. The number of international visitors has increased by 9.5%, while tourist spending has done so even more intensely, with an annual increase of 11.6%.
As highlighted by the Minister of Industry, Tourism, Innovation and Trade, Marián Cano, the data confirm "the strength of international demand" and the evolution towards tourism with a greater economic impact on the Valencian Community.
The best historical records for a month of July
The data comes from the Statistics of Tourist Movements at Borders (Frontur) and the Survey of Tourist Expenditure (Egatur), prepared by the National Institute of Statistics (INE).
The results place July 2026 as the best July in the historical series, both in terms of international tourist arrivals and spending by foreign visitors.
In addition to the number of tourists growing, so has the amount they spend during their stay. The average expenditure per tourist reached 1,515 euros, 2% more than a year earlier. Daily expenditure also grew by 2%, to 153 euros per person, while the average stay was 9.9 days.
Close to 10,000 million euros between January and July
The positive trend is not limited to the main month of the summer season. The figures accumulated during the first seven months of 2026 also show considerable growth in the international market.
Between January and July, the Valencian Community received 7,717,768 foreign tourists, 8.9% more than during the same period in 2025.
The evolution of spending is particularly significant. International visitors spent 9.87 billion euros between January and July, representing a year-on-year increase of 9.4%. The Community is thus approaching 10 billion euros in international tourism spending with five months left to complete the year.
The Generalitat is committed to higher value tourism
Minister Marián Cano pointed out that the results show the capacity of the Valencian Community to continue growing in international markets in an increasingly competitive scenario.
The Generalitat considers that the simultaneous increase in arrivals and, especially, in spending reinforces the strategy of moving towards a tourism model based on quality, sustainability and a greater contribution of value to the territory.
The July figures thus consolidate a record 2026 for international tourism in the Valencian Community, with more visitors, greater spending per tourist and accumulated income that is already close to 10,000 million euros.
