Cristina Tamarit presents the novel 'Juanita Banana' in Bétera , a story set in Valencia in the 1980s

Dones Progressivestes de la Vila de Bétera organizes the meeting with the author on Wednesday, September 9th in the Plenary Hall of the City Hall

Literature will once again be the protagonist of Bétera 's cultural agenda with the presentation of the novel Juanita Banana, by author Cristina Tamarit . The event will take place next Wednesday, September 9, at 6:30 p.m., in the Plenary Hall of Bétera City Council.

The activity is organized by the association Dones Progressistes de la Vila de Bétera and will allow the public to learn first-hand about a work that transports readers to Valencia in the eighties through the experience of its protagonist, Juana.

The presentation will feature Cristina Tamarit herself, who will be able to introduce attendees to the story behind the novel and the experiences that articulate the story.

'Juanita Banana': starting a new life at just seventeen years old

Juanita Banana presents a story centered on Juana, a young woman who, at only seventeen years old, is forced to leave her hometown and seek a new life in Valencia.

The Valencian capital of the 1980s thus becomes the setting for a story about a stage in life marked by changes, adaptation to a different environment and the need to make one's way far from one's place of origin.

The presentation in Bétera will offer the opportunity to approach this story from the hand of its author and discover in greater depth both the protagonist and the context in which the novel takes place.

A new cultural event in the center of Bétera

The event will be held in a particularly representative space of the municipality, the Plenary Hall of the Bétera City Council, and will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The initiative of Dones Progressistes de la Vila de Bétera thus joins the different literary and cultural activities that take place in the municipality and that allow for the generation of meeting spaces between authors, works and readers.

The presence of Cristina Tamarit will also allow the presentation to be turned into an opportunity to go beyond reading and get closer to the creation process and the background of a story starring a young woman who faces a radical transformation in her life.

Bétera has a date with literature on September 9th

The presentation of Juanita Banana is scheduled for Wednesday, September 9 at 6:30 p.m. The City Hall's Plenary Hall will be the meeting point for all those interested in discovering the novel and getting to know its author.

With this activity, Bétera adds a new proposal to its September cultural agenda, this time around literature and a story that travels to Valencia in the eighties.

An event organized by Dones Progressivestes de la Vila de Bétera to share literature, memory and culture in the heart of the municipality.
