Bétera experiences this afternoon the traditional Baixada de la Divina Pastora through the streets of the municipality

The celebration will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Ermita del Calvari and will once again bring together veterans around a centuries-old tradition.

Bétera will once again experience one of the most deeply rooted events in its traditional calendar this afternoon with the Baixada de la Divina Pastora. At 6:30 p.m., the Ermita del Calvari will become the meeting point to begin the journey of the image through the streets of the municipality.

The celebration will allow for another year to recover a centennial festival that is part of the history and traditions of Bétera , bringing together residents who want to accompany the Divine Shepherdess during her journey.

After the August Festivals, the traditional Beta calendar continues during the month of September with a celebration that has managed to stay alive throughout the generations.

The Baixada will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Calvari

This afternoon's appointment is set for 6:30 p.m. at the Calvari Chapel in Bétera . From this emblematic point in the municipality, the Baixada will begin, which will once again carry the Divine Shepherd through the streets of the town.

The route constitutes one of the central moments of a celebration that combines its religious component with an important cultural and traditional value.

The Baixada also represents a new opportunity for different generations to share the same tradition. The participation of the residents helps to preserve a celebration linked to the collective memory of Bétera and to pass it on to the younger generation.

A centuries-old tradition of Bétera

The Festival of the Divine Shepherd has a long history in the municipality. Its continuity over time has made it one of the expressions of the town's intangible and religious heritage.

Year after year, the celebration returns to the streets and recovers customs that are part of the cultural identity of the city. Precisely, the centennial nature of the festival allows us to understand its importance beyond the specific event that is celebrated this afternoon.

La Baixada keeps alive a link between the present and the generations that have participated in the same celebration for decades, making traditions a way of preserving and sharing local history.

Bétera rediscovers its traditions

This afternoon's event will, therefore, be a new opportunity to see the streets of Bétera linked to one of its historical celebrations.

From 6:30 p.m., veterans are called to meet at the Ermita del Calvari to accompany the Divine Shepherdess and participate in the traditional Baixada.

Bétera thus once again claims itself as a town of traditions and customs , keeping alive a centennial festival that continues to be passed down from generation to generation and that this afternoon will once again be part of the life of the streets of the municipality.
