Bétera faces a day marked by adverse weather conditions this Thursday, September 17. Given the maintenance of the orange warning for rain and yellow for storms by the Emergency Coordination Center of the Generalitat Valenciana, the Bétera City Council has agreed to adopt several preventive measures to protect the population.
Among the most notable decisions is the suspension of teaching activities in all educational centers in Bétera , as well as municipal, recreational and sports activities that take place outdoors.
Parks, gardens, the Municipal Cemetery and the Municipal Sports Center will also remain closed during the day.

The weather situation has led the City Council to suspend teaching activities in all educational centers in the municipality this Thursday.
In addition to the educational measure, municipal, recreational and sports activities planned outside have been cancelled. The aim is to reduce travel and avoid exposing citizens to possible episodes of heavy rain and storms.
The measures may be modified depending on the evolution of the weather situation . Any changes will be communicated through the official channels of the Bétera City Council.
Parking prohibited in flood zones of Bétera
The council also maintains the ban on parking vehicles in different points susceptible to flooding . The restriction affects Plaça Lluís Reig to the ravine, in the area of l'Albereda, el Barranquet and other flood-prone areas of the municipality.
The City Council especially recommends not crossing ravines or flood zones. During episodes of intense rainfall, these points can experience rapid changes in water circulation conditions.
The municipal recommendation is, therefore, to avoid travel or conduct that could pose risks and to follow the instructions of the emergency services at all times.
Local Police, Civil Protection and Works Brigade, activated
Given the weather warning, different municipal services remain prepared to act if necessary.
The Bétera Local Police, the Civil Protection Group and the Public Works Brigade remain proactively activated to respond to any possible incident related to rain or storms.
