Bétera recovers the Local Studies Conference with two days dedicated to the history and heritage of the municipality

The Local Studies Conference returns to Bétera next Friday 18 and Saturday 19 September with a fifth edition that will allow us to delve deeper into some of the most outstanding episodes, spaces and elements of the history of the municipality.

The Youth and Equality Space of Bétera will be the main stage of a conference organized by the Association Center for Local Studies of Bétera with the collaboration of the Bétera City Council and the Junta de Montes y Señorío Territorial of Bétera .

During the two days, different presentations will allow us to approach the town's past from different perspectives, with issues ranging from archaeology and historical episodes to the architectural heritage and social reality of Bétera in other eras.

From the flood of 1949 to the history of Bétera with Alfonso XIII

The program of the 5th Bétera Local Studies Conference will cover different moments in local history. Among the issues that will be addressed is the flood of 1949, an episode that is part of the historical memory of the municipality.

There will also be space to delve deeper into the history of Bétera and King Alfonso XIII, as well as to better understand other elements of local heritage such as the villa known as 'El Salvador'.

The medical topography of Bétera will complete a program that seeks to offer different perspectives to understand how the municipality has evolved and recover aspects of its history that are part of the local identity.

L'Horta Vella, protagonist of the Local Studies Conference

Another of the highlights will be the archaeological site of l'Horta Vella, one of the heritage spaces that allows us to get closer to the oldest past of the municipal area.

The conference will not be limited to addressing the site through lectures, but the program also includes a visit to the Horta Vella, offering participants the opportunity to get to know the space directly.

This combination of dissemination and an approach to heritage on the ground reinforces the objective of the conference to make known and value the historical wealth of Bétera .

Two days to discover the historical heritage of Bétera

With this fifth edition, the Local Studies Conference is consolidated as an event for all those interested in better understanding the history, heritage and memory of Bétera .

The initiative allows research and dissemination to be brought together in a format that is close to citizens, turning knowledge of local history into a tool to value and preserve the municipality's heritage.

Interested people will be able to participate in the activities scheduled for Friday 18 and Saturday 19 September, with the Youth and Equality Space as the meeting point for the fifth edition.

A new opportunity to look into Bétera 's past, discover lesser-known episodes and better understand the spaces, people and events that have contributed to building the history of the municipality.
