Music will once again become a bridge between towns this summer in Bétera . On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the twinning between Bétera and Pont-Saint-Martin, the municipality will hold a very special meeting that will bring together culture, music and friendship to commemorate a quarter of a century of relations between the two towns.
The Pont-Saint-Martin Musical Band will be in charge of starring in this celebration with a concert that will take place next Thursday, August 13, 2026 , at 7:00 p.m., at the Bétera Sports Center. An event that is also part of some particularly significant dates for the municipality, coinciding with the Bétera August Festivals.
A concert to celebrate 25 years of friendship between Bétera and Pont-Saint-Martin
The performance by the Pont-Saint-Martin Musical Band will serve to remember the 25 years of twinning between Bétera and the Italian town, a relationship built over time through cultural exchange and bonds of friendship between the two municipalities.
Under the direction of Walter Chenuil, the Italian band will offer a concert specially designed for this commemoration. Music will thus be the shared language to celebrate a relationship that has brought two peoples closer together and keep alive the spirit of a twinning that reaches a very significant date this year.
The presence of the Italian band will also have a special role during the August Festivities of Bétera 2026. In fact, the band will participate in the festive events on Wednesday, August 12, when it will accompany the parade and the traditional gathering of the 2026 Workers.
In this way, the visit to Pont-Saint-Martin will not be limited solely to the commemorative concert, but will also allow its musicians to delve into some of the most representative traditions of Bétera during the municipality's big days.
Bétera celebrates twinning in the middle of the August Festivities week
The date chosen for the concert will make August 13th a particularly intense day. Bétera will be fully immersed in its August Festivals, which this year are celebrated from August 12th to 22nd with a program full of popular culture, music, gunpowder and traditions.
Precisely, on Thursday the 13th itself, the festive program includes other outstanding activities such as the workshop and the big game of Valencian pelota on Vázquez Mella Street, as well as the traditional Paella Competition and the night performance by the Invictus Orchestra.
In the midst of this intense agenda, the concert of the Pont-Saint-Martin Musical Band at the Bétera Sports Center will offer a different proposal and full of symbolism. It will be an opportunity to enjoy music and, at the same time, highlight the importance of cultural exchanges between European municipalities.
