Bétera is preparing to experience this Sunday, September 20, a day marked by athletics with the celebration of the Half Marathon and the 10K , two events that will share the same objective: to turn the streets of the municipality into a great sports arena for both runners looking for a good mark and those who simply want to enjoy the experience.
The event will begin at 8:15 a.m. at the Alameda Escultor Ramón Inglés, from where participants will tackle the two available distances.
One of the main attractions of this first edition will be the official nature of the routes. Both the Bétera Half Marathon and the 10K have routes approved by the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation, in addition to official times and timing.
A Half Marathon and a 10K to run through the streets of Bétera
The two modalities will allow the day to be adapted to different profiles of runners. The Half Marathon, with its usual distance of 21.0975 kilometers, will pose the most demanding challenge, while the Bétera 10K will offer a shorter distance alternative.
The routes have been designed as fast routes, a particularly interesting factor for participants who come with the aim of testing their pace on the asphalt.
But the day will not be designed solely to seek a mark. The call also encourages participation from runners who want to enjoy the route and experience the atmosphere of a race that will be celebrating its first edition.
Refreshments, timing and runner's bag
The organization has prepared different services to accompany the participants during the experience. Runners will have refreshments, a timing system and a runner's bag, elements that will complete the celebration of the two events.
To all this, the atmosphere in the streets of Bétera will be added, with citizens invited to accompany and encourage the athletes during the morning.
The combination of the two distances seeks to turn the day into an event open to different ways of understanding athletics, from competition and personal improvement to the simple pleasure of running.
A t-shirt made at Camp de Túria
Among the distinctive elements of the first Bétera Half Marathon and 10K is the official t-shirt prepared for the occasion.
The piece will have Bétera as its protagonist and, in addition, it has been made in the Camp de Túria itself, thus incorporating a local component into one of the main souvenirs that runners will take away from the race.
Bétera awaits runners this September 20
The appointment is set for this Sunday, September 20 at 8:15 a.m., with the Alameda Escultor Ramón Inglés as a point of reference.
With approved routes, official times and two different distances, Bétera is thus facing the first edition of a day that aims to unite sport, citizen participation and popular athletics.
Both for those who come prepared to look for their best mark and for those who prefer to enjoy every kilometer, Bétera is already waiting for runners at the starting line of its Half Marathon and 10K.
