Bétera launches 'The Secret of Bétera ', a new proposal that combines reading, mystery and local heritage to bring the history and culture of the municipality closer to the adult population in a different way. The initiative, promoted by the Department of Education, adopts the format of a scapebook and poses the challenge to participants to discover the secrets hidden by Bétera's past.
The program is conceived as a reading promotion activity for people over 18 years of age , with the aim of promoting reading while contributing to disseminating and enhancing local cultural heritage.
Registrations are now open and can be submitted from September 15 to 29. Places are limited to a maximum of 25 participants.
What is the scapebook 'The Secret of Bétera '?
The new activity proposes an approach to reading based on participation and the resolution of challenges. The scapebook format transfers some of the characteristic elements of escape games to an experience linked to books, turning participants into protagonists in the development of the activity.
In this case, the common thread will be Bétera and its cultural heritage, so that reading will also serve as a gateway to discovering aspects related to the municipality's past.

Sessions on Fridays in October, November and December
'The Secret of Bétera ' will continue during the last months of 2026. The activities will be held on Fridays in October, November and December, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The meeting point will be the Adult Training Center of Bétera , located on Avenida de Valencia, number 26.
This approach allows the program to be developed over several sessions, offering participants a continuous experience around reading and discovering the Basque heritage.
How to register for 'The Secret of Bétera '
Interested persons can submit their application until September 29 through the Bétera City Council Entry Register or electronically through a generic instance in the municipal Electronic Office.
The 25 available places will be awarded according to the order in which applications are submitted, so people who wish to participate must take into account the limited number of places.

With this new program, the Department of Education is committed to a formula that seeks to go beyond conventional reading and make participants an active part of the experience.
