Bétera celebrates the traditional Torrent Ball this Tuesday and pays tribute to the Workers and Mayors of 1976 and 2001

The August 2026 Festivities continue this August 18 with a day that will combine tradition, tributes and music with a performance by Marlon

The August Festivities of Bétera 2026 continue this Tuesday, August 18th with a new day full of activities. The program prepared by the Obreres i Majorals will once again fill the streets of the municipality from early in the morning and will have as one of its most special moments the traditional Ball de Torrent in the Albereda.

In addition, Bétera will look back on its own festive history with a tribute to the Obreres i Majorals of 1976 and 2001 , coinciding respectively with the 50th and 25th anniversary of their groups. The music will complete the day with a concert by the group Marlon, followed by a session by DJ Joan.

The parade and mass open the August 18th schedule

The events will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the parade and the traditional gathering of the 2026 Workers. An event that will once again bring the festive atmosphere through the streets of Bétera and will serve as the starting point of a day especially linked to the traditions of the municipality.

At 12:00 p.m., the program will continue at the Parish of the Puríssima Concepció, where the mass scheduled for this festive day will be celebrated.

After the morning events, the program will take a break until the afternoon, when the Alameda will once again become one of the main meeting points of the August Festivals.

The Torrent Ball returns to the Albereda de Bétera

Starting at 7:00 p.m., the traditional Torrent Dance will take place, one of the popular culture events included in this year's program.

L'Albereda will be the setting for this event, which will allow the public to rediscover a tradition that combines music, dance and Valencian popular culture in one of the most emblematic spaces of the veterans' festivals.

At the end of the Torrent Dance, one of the most emotional moments of the day will arrive: the tribute to different generations of Workers and Mayors who have been part of the history of the August Festivals of Bétera .

Tribute to the 50th and 25th anniversary of two festive generations

This 2026 marks the 50th anniversary of the 1976 Workers and Mayors' Association, an event that Bétera will commemorate by recognizing those people who half a century ago assumed the responsibility of representing and keeping the municipality's festivals alive.

At the same time, the Workers and Foremen of 2001 will also be honored, when their group celebrates 25 years.

It will, therefore, be an evening marked by the reunion between different generations and by the recognition of all those people who have contributed to the maintenance of traditions that continue to be transmitted over the years.

Marlon and DJ Joan will play music at night

The day will change from midnight. At 00:00, the Marlon group will perform in Bétera in a concert organized by the City Council as part of the August 2026 Festivals program.

The party will continue after the performance with DJ Joan, who will be in charge of extending the music throughout the night.

Bétera thus faces a new day of its big festivities with a program that combines religious acts, popular culture, festive memory and live music. A particularly emotional day for the Workers and Mayorals of 1976 and 2001, who will once again feel like protagonists of the festival 50 and 25 years later.

This Tuesday, August 18, Bétera will once again have an appointment with its traditions and its history.
