After the Baixada held yesterday, the events continue today with a new event that will bring this centuries-old tradition back to the streets of the municipality.

The Ascent of the Divine Shepherdess will begin at 6:30 p.m. from the Church of the Immaculate Conception , from which point the procession will depart to complete a celebration deeply linked to the history and customs of Bétera .

Neighbors are invited to participate and accompany the Divine Shepherdess in an afternoon in which the municipality will once again be reunited with a tradition passed down through generations.

The Pujada will depart at 6:30 p.m. from La Puríssima.

The appointment is set for this afternoon at 6:30 p.m. The Church of the Immaculate Conception will be the starting point of the Pujada, after yesterday the Ermita del Calvari hosted the start of the traditional Baixada.

The two events constitute some of the most representative moments of the Festival of the Divine Shepherdess in Bétera and allow this celebration to return every September to the streets of the town.

Today's day will once again have a prominent religious component, but also a cultural and social one, since the continuity of this festival for generations has turned it into a manifestation of the collective memory of the people.

A centuries-old tradition that is still alive in Bétera

The Festival of the Divine Shepherdess is part of the centuries-old traditions of Bétera . The passage of time has not prevented the different events from continuing to bring together citizens and keeping alive a custom inherited from previous generations.

The celebration thus constitutes a sample of the intangible heritage of Beta. Its conservation does not only depend on keeping the events on the calendar, but also on the participation of the residents who return to the streets every year to experience them.

This afternoon will be a new opportunity for adults, young people and children to share the same celebration and contribute to guaranteeing the continuity of a tradition linked to the identity of the municipality.
