Bétera will receive a significant financial injection from European FEDER funds that will allow it to carry out different actions aimed at improving the municipality's infrastructure, security and response capacity . Specifically, the town has obtained 8,977,500 euros through the EDIL DANA line, to which will be added municipal co-financing of 472,500 euros.
In this way, the investment linked to the program will allow mobilizing 9.45 million euros to develop projects in different parts of Bétera . The actions will focus especially on prevention against adverse weather episodes, but will also include the regeneration of public spaces, the rehabilitation of facilities and the improvement of the road network.
Three million euros for the rain and drainage system
The most important item will be allocated to reinforce the rainwater and drainage system of Bétera , with a planned investment of 3 million euros. An action that is especially significant after the episodes of torrential rain that have highlighted the need to continue adapting Valencian infrastructures to extreme weather phenomena.
To this amount will be added 1.25 million euros to improve accessibility, evacuation and drainage of routes considered critical.
A sum of 99,990 euros is also planned for the cleaning and conditioning of the Barranquet, thus reinforcing interventions related to water management and prevention.
Improvements to the roads and a major regeneration of the Alameda
Another of the main investments will be for the strategic road network and rural roads, which will have 1.95 million euros. The aim is to improve roads that are essential both for daily travel and to facilitate mobility in emergency situations.
The transformation will also reach one of the most emblematic spaces in Bétera . The regeneration of the Alameda Escultor Ramón Inglés will have 1.3 million euros, becoming one of the most outstanding urban actions included in the program.
The sports center, the R7 track and Casa Nebot will also receive investments
The funds will also allow for interventions on various municipal facilities. One million euros will be allocated to the rehabilitation of the Municipal Sports Centre, while 630,000 euros will be used to adapt the R7 Track as a meeting point and command post.
In addition, the heritage of the city will also be present among the planned investments. Casa Nebot will be rehabilitated and protected through an action valued at 219,137 euros.
A strategic investment for the future of Bétera
The arrival of 8.97 million euros in FEDER funds, complemented by the City Council's contribution, represents one of the main financial injections recently announced for the municipality .
The different actions share the same objective: to move towards a safer, more accessible and prepared Bétera , especially strengthening those infrastructures that can be decisive in emergency situations.
European investment will thus allow us to act simultaneously on drainage, mobility, heritage, sports facilities and public spaces, developing a set of projects that will have a direct impact on different areas of the municipality over the coming years.
