August is approaching with giant steps and Bétera does not stop. This July 31, the municipality of Camp de Túria closes a July full of municipal activity with its eyes set on an August that promises top-level emotions: the August 2026 Festivities , the XXIII Classical Music Cycle at the Ermita del Calvari, the solar eclipse of August 12 and an agenda of events designed for all audiences. Let's review everything you need to know this Friday.
August 2026 Festivals, 12 days away
The August Festivals of Bétera 2026 will be held from August 12 to 22 , and the municipality of Camp de Túria is currently experiencing its final stretch of preparations with an excitement that can be felt in every street. The foremen and workers are working tirelessly to ensure that everything is ready.
One of the most distinctive elements of the August Festivals in Bétera are the basils, which have been growing for months in the Basil Orchard under the supervision of the Master Basil Grower, Ramón Asensi. Every August 15, Bétera is enveloped in the unmistakable aroma of basil, on the most important day of its festivities dedicated to the Virgin of August. The big day brings together a multitude of expectant visitors who enjoy a festival that, in addition to basils, is accompanied by confetti.
This year's party shirts feature a print designed by Francis Montesinos, the prestigious Valencian designer, a novelty that has generated great excitement among party fans.
Valencian Pelota, Shooting and Dragging and Dansà
This year the festivities will be held from August 12 to 22 and the Mayorals and Workers of 2026 continue to work hard to offer a program worthy of one of the most emblematic celebrations in the Valencian Community. The festivities will include the traditional Valencian pelota match on August 13, and two sessions of Shooting and Dragging on the 17th and 18th, disciplines that are part of the Valencian sporting heritage.
The Cant d'Estil and traditional dances are fundamental elements of the Festas, where on the 14th the Dansà stands out with its traditional dances, and then comes the Nit d'Albaes where the Cantà and the Ave Maria stand out.
XXIII Classical Music Cycle at the Ermita del Calvari
The XXIII Classical Music Cycle at the Ermita del Calvari, the FolkEstiu with four days of folklore and tradition, and the facilities of the Parc de les Alfàbegues consolidated as a regional urban sports hub, make up a summer full of plans for all audiences. The Classical Music Cycle is one of the most anticipated cultural events of the summer in Betera: the Ermita del Calvari becomes year after year an incomparable stage for listening to live music in a unique environment, and this edition maintains the tradition of free concerts open to all citizens.
